The Birchwood Casey 49024 Nested Black Steel Target Stand is a durable, no-fuss solution for shooters who want a reliable backstop without hauling complicated gear to the range. Built from steel, this target stand arrives ready to use—no tools or assembly required. Whether you're zeroing a new rifle, working through handgun drills, or putting rounds downrange for practice, a solid target stand keeps your shooting session focused on what matters: your accuracy.

The nested design means the stand takes up minimal space when stored or transported, making it practical for shooters who move between ranges or keep their setup compact at home. The black powder-coated finish resists rust and blends into most range backgrounds, so your target is what catches the eye, not the stand itself.

Birchwood Casey's reputation for no-nonsense target and range gear carries through here: this is a working tool, not a premium accessory. If you shoot regularly—hunting prep, competition training, or casual range time—a metal target stand like this one earns its place in your gear rotation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need tools to set up this target stand?

No. The Birchwood Casey 49024 assembles without any tools—just unfold or nest the pieces together and you're ready to shoot.

What's the advantage of a nested target stand design?

Nested stands collapse or stack down to a compact footprint, making them easy to store in a truck, range bag, or closet. You get the stability of a full-size stand with the portability of a collapsible one.

Will this target stand rust if I leave it outside?

The steel construction is finished in black to resist corrosion, but like any bare metal, it will benefit from dry storage. Store indoors or under cover when not in use to extend its life.
