The Birchwood Casey Perma Blue Gun Blue Paste Kit gives you everything needed to restore a worn finish or touch up small dings and wear spots on most steel firearms. Unlike quick-fix solutions, this paste-based system delivers a deep, dense blue-black finish that looks professional and protects your investment. Whether you're refinishing a family heirloom, fixing a scratch on your hunting rifle, or tackling a complete reblue job on a shooter, having the right tools and chemicals matters—and this kit bundles them together so you don't have to source components separately.

The formula works on ferrous (steel) surfaces and produces a uniform, non-streaky finish when applied correctly. The included cleaner-degreaser and blue and rust remover prep the metal properly, which is where many DIY touch-ups fail. A complete reblue requires patience and attention to detail, but the kit's generous supplies and applicator tools are designed to help you achieve results that rival a gunsmith's work without leaving your garage.

Birchwood Casey has built a reputation for reliable gun-finishing chemicals trusted by gunsmiths and home tinkerers for decades. This paste kit strikes a balance between ease of use and professional-grade results—it's more forgiving than bare-metal bluing but still demands you follow the process carefully. Keep the included Barricade rust protection gun wipes handy to protect your newly blued surfaces once the work is done.
