Big Bite Baits
The Big Bite Fat Grub 2" in Tennessee Shad is a soft plastic crappie bait built for anglers who want serious action in the water. Big Bite Baits engineered this grub with a thickened body and pronounced curly tail that generate movement and vibration even on a slow retrieve—the kind of profile that draws strikes from crappie, panfish, and other species you might target in freshwater. Tennessee Shad is a natural forage pattern that mimics the baitfish crappie actually eat, giving you confidence whether you're fishing near shallow cover, drop-offs, or open water.
What sets the Fat Grub apart is its proportions. The heavier body gives you better casting distance and better feel on light tackle, while the oversized tail works the water column without requiring aggressive rod movement. That means less fatigue on long days and more effective presentations across a wider range of retrieves and conditions. If you've used standard curl tail grubs and felt they weren't producing, the Fat Grub's beefier profile is worth trying—the difference in profile translates to a difference in catch.
Each pack includes 10 baits, so you'll have plenty to get through a productive day on the water and still have backup lures in your tackle box. The Tennessee Shad color is versatile enough for clear or slightly stained water and works year-round.
