Big Bite Baits
The Big Bite Curl Tail Grub 2" in Orange/Yellow is a proven crappie bait that works across multiple presentations. Whether you're chunking and winding from the bank, jigging vertical drops near structure, or trolling along weeds and timber, this compact grub profile delivers the action crappie can't resist. The curl tail design creates natural swimming motion with minimal effort, making it effective for both spring spawners and deeper-water fish through the year.
At 2 inches, this grub fits comfortably on light jigs and small hooks—ideal for targeting keeper-size crappie without undersized bycatch. The orange and yellow color combo is visible in stained water and low-light conditions, giving you better detection on the end of your line. You get 10 per pack, so you have enough for a full day of fishing or to keep backups tied on while experimenting with jig head weights and retrieves.
Big Bite Baits has built a reputation on soft plastic consistency and durability, and these grubs hold up through multiple fish and cast cycles. Whether you're fishing a farm pond, creek system, or larger reservoir, the curl tail grub remains one of the most reliable soft plastic profiles in crappie fishing.
While specifically engineered for crappie, curl tail grubs in this size work on other panfish species and small bass. The 2-inch profile is ideal for targeting crappie of all sizes, from spring spawners to deeper summer fish.
We don't have specific jig head weight recommendations in our product data. Check with Big Bite Baits' guidance or start with light weights (1/16 to 1/8 oz) for jigging and adjust based on water depth and current.
This pack contains 10 curl tail grubs.
Big Bite Baits soft plastics are known for holding up well through repeated casting and fish contact, but like all soft plastics, they'll eventually show wear. The 10-pack gives you spares to swap in as needed.
