Bergara
The Bergara ST1 Self Timing Muzzle Brake is a purpose-built recoil reducer for shooters serious about controllability and precision. Built from 17-4 grade stainless steel with a nitride finish, this muzzle brake threads on with a 5/8"-24 pitch and uses an angled baffle design that manages gas direction strategically—pushing downward rather than venting toward your sight picture or kicking up dust and debris at your shooting position. That design choice matters whether you're running a precision rifle at a competition, hunting at distance, or drilling rounds at the range: less felt recoil and minimal muzzle rise mean faster follow-ups and easier target reacquisition.
Bergara engineered the ST1 to be self-timing, eliminating the guesswork of orientation when you're threading it on. The brake comes with a wrench and bubble level in the box, so you can mount it square to your bore and get to shooting. The compact footprint—1.00" diameter and 2.500" length—keeps profile reasonable while the stainless steel construction and nitride finish stand up to repeated use and outdoor conditions.
If you're upgrading a Bergara rifle or threading one you already own, the ST1 is a straightforward upgrade that handles both the recoil and the setup in one package. It's not a suppressor, but the reduction in recoil impulse and muzzle rise makes a measurable difference in how a rifle shoots, especially over a string of shots.

Yes. The brake includes a wrench for installation and a bubble level to help you align it square to your bore during setup.
The self-timing design means the brake works correctly regardless of its rotational position when threaded on, eliminating the need to clock it to a specific orientation—a convenience during installation and if you ever need to remove and remount it.
The ST1's angled baffle design is engineered to reduce felt recoil and minimize muzzle rise by directing gas downward rather than venting it across your sight picture or into the ground.
