Bergara
The Bergara B-14 Ridge Wilderness 6.5 PRC rifle bridges serious long-range capability with genuine backcountry durability. Built for hunters who refuse to compromise between performance and reliability in harsh weather, this 24-inch rifle combines a hand-painted woodland camo stock with Sniper Grey Cerakote metalwork—both designed to shed the elements while you shed ground toward distant glassing points. The 6.5 PRC cartridge delivers the kind of velocity and energy needed for extended-range work, and Bergara's legendary barrel (their #5 profile, threaded 5/8-24) wears an omnidirectional, multi-ported muzzle brake engineered to absorb up to 35 percent of felt recoil—a serious advantage on steep terrain or when fatigue is already setting in.
This is a no-frills tool built for the rifleman who knows what matters. The American-style synthetic stock features SoftTouch finish for secure handling in wet conditions, while the webbing texture adds genuine grip without the slick feel of plain plastic. Inside, you're getting Bergara's smooth two-lug action with a sliding plate extractor and coned bolt geometry—the kind of mechanical attention that keeps feeding and extraction reliable shot after shot. A hinged floor plate makes field reloading quick, and the Bergara Performance Trigger provides the crisp, predictable break serious hunters need when the moment arrives.
Factory drilled and tapped for Remington 700–style rings and bases, the Ridge Wilderness is ready to accept your optic setup without gunsmithing trips or head-scratching. At 24 inches, the barrel strikes a practical balance between velocity and practical field length—short enough to maneuver through deadfall and brush, long enough to build velocity in a magnum caliber. This is Bergara's answer for hunters who want to leave the parking lot confident their rifle will perform at distance, in weather, and after miles of boots-on-ground work.
