Battle Arms Development
The Battle Arms Enhanced Modular AR-15 Large Aluminum Magazine Release Button upgrades one of the most-used controls on your rifle with precision engineering and thoughtful ergonomics. Built from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in hard-anodized black, this extended mag release combines a lightweight, low-profile design with Battle Arms' patent-pending three-sided dovetail attachment system—a mechanical solution that maximizes strength without sacrificing the clean lines serious shooters appreciate. Whether you're running a competition gun, a duty rifle, or a dedicated hunting AR, the BAD-EMMR gives you better control and faster magazine changes without forcing you to shift your grip.
The key to this release's appeal is modularity. Interchangeable finger pads let you dial in the ergonomics that work for your hand and shooting style, and the dovetail system locks them down with near-total contact surface—no flex, no shift, no surprises under pressure. The one-piece engineering and fluted design keep weight minimal while the heat-treated steel internals (8620 with black phosphate finish) handle thousands of cycles without wear. It's the kind of part that doesn't announce itself; it just works better every time you reach for a fresh magazine.
If you've ever fumbled a mag change or fought an undersized release button, this is the fix. Not flashy, not expensive relative to what you're getting—just solid American manufacturing applied to a problem that matters in the field or on the line.
| Material (Button) | 7075-T6 Aluminum |
| Material (Internal) | 8620 Heat-Treated Steel |
| Finish (Button) | Hard-Anodized Black |
| Finish (Internal) | Black Phosphate |
| Attachment | Patent-Pending Three-Sided Dovetail |
| Design | Fluted, Low-Profile |
| Features | Interchangeable Finger Pads, One-Piece Engineering |
The BAD-EMMR is designed as an AR-15 magazine release button. Confirm compatibility with your specific AR platform before purchasing; this is a direct replacement for the standard mag release lever on most AR-15 lower receivers.
The interchangeable finger pads allow you to customize the ergonomic feel and profile of the button to suit your grip style and preference. Different pad geometries can change how the release feels under your thumb without changing the core mechanism.
This is a drop-in replacement for your factory mag release. Standard AR-15 gunsmithing tools and basic mechanical knowledge are required. If you're unfamiliar with AR-15 takedown and reassembly, consult a qualified gunsmith.
The 7075-T6 aluminum is one of the strongest aluminum alloys available, reinforced by the three-sided dovetail attachment system that distributes stress across a large contact surface. The hard-anodized finish resists wear and corrosion. The internal steel components are 8620 heat-treated for long-term reliability.
