Barnett Outdoors
The Barrett 416 BARR 452-grain match-grade ammunition represents the cutting edge of extreme long-range cartridge development. Built around Cutting Edge Bullets' 452-grain MTAC projectile—a purpose-built match bullet with a ballistic coefficient of 0.83 G1 (0.47 G7)—this 80-round box delivers the consistency and performance required for precision shooting far beyond typical rifle ranges. If you're pushing a .416 Barrett platform to its limits, whether for competitive long-range competition or legitimate extreme-distance field work, this ammunition is engineered to perform.
The 452-grain MTAC bullet's generous mass and high ballistic coefficient mean less wind deflection and energy loss over distance, critical advantages when your target is measured in thousands of yards rather than hundreds. Loaded with RUAG brass and RWS primers, each round benefits from the kind of component quality and consistency that separates match ammunition from standard factory loads. The specification sheet lists a muzzle velocity of 3005 fps (measured from a 32-inch barrel), giving you a verified baseline for ballistic calculations and zero work.
This is ammunition for shooters who understand their rifle's capabilities, have invested in precision optics and support equipment, and demand reproducible performance from round to round. The 80-round quantity lets you complete a meaningful practice session or competition without restocking mid-event. Before loading, verify that your specific .416 Barrett rifle is compatible with the 4.65-inch overall length and confirm your barrel twist rate—Barrett specifies 1:12.0 right-hand rifling as the twist for this load.
| Caliber | .416 Barrett |
| Bullet Weight | 452 grains |
| Bullet Type | Cutting Edge MTAC |
| Bullet Diameter | 0.416 inch |
| Ballistic Coefficient (G1) | 0.83 |
| Ballistic Coefficient (G7) | 0.47 |
| Overall Length | 4.65 inches |
| Muzzle Velocity | 3005 fps (32-inch barrel) |
| Rounds per Box | 80 |
| Case | RUAG Brass |
| Primer | RWS |
This ammunition is loaded to standard .416 Barrett specifications and should work in any rifle chambered in .416 Barrett. However, confirm that your rifle's barrel twist rate is 1:12.0 (right-hand), as specified for this load. Always consult your rifle's manual and verify compatibility before firing.
The 452-grain MTAC bullet's 0.83 G1 ballistic coefficient means it resists wind deflection and energy loss more effectively than lighter or less aerodynamic projectiles. At extreme distances—2500+ yards—this translates directly to flatter trajectories, less wind drift, and better energy retention, which is why this ammunition is specifically engineered for extreme long-range shooting.
This product contains 80 rounds per box.
Each round uses RUAG brass cases and RWS primers, paired with the Cutting Edge 452-grain MTAC bullet. These component choices prioritize consistency and performance required for match-grade ammunition.
