Barnes VOR-TX 300 Win Mag ammunition pairs the proven accuracy of factory-loaded precision rounds with one of hunting's most respected bullet designs. Loaded with 180-grain TTSX (Tipped TSX) projectiles, this lead-free option delivers the combination of velocity, accuracy, and terminal performance that long-range hunters and magnum rifle shooters depend on. The polymer tip improves aerodynamics and initiates expansion on impact, while the copper construction ensures reliable performance across the range of hunting scenarios where the .300 Winchester Magnum excels.

The TTSX bullet is engineered for controlled expansion and maximum weight retention—two qualities that separate Barnes from conventional ammunition. The boat-tail design minimizes drag and supports consistency downrange, while multiple grooves machined into the bullet's shank reduce pressure and contribute to the tight groups Barnes is known for. Because the round is lead-free, it's compliant in jurisdictions where non-toxic ammunition is required, making it a practical choice for hunters in California and other regions with ammunition restrictions.

Each box contains 20 rounds, so you get a full box of factory-loaded precision ammunition ready for the range, the field, or the handloader's workbench. Whether you're zeroing a new rifle scope or preparing for a hunt in open country where the 300 Win Mag's reach makes a real difference, VOR-TX ammunition delivers the accuracy and terminal consistency that hunters expect from Barnes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Barnes VOR-TX 300 Win Mag ammunition legal for hunting in California?

Yes. The TTSX bullet is constructed from copper and is lead-free, making it compliant with California's non-toxic ammunition requirements and similar regulations in other states.

What is the polymer tip on the TTSX bullet designed to do?

The polymer tip improves the bullet's aerodynamic profile and initiates expansion upon impact, contributing to the quick, consistent terminal performance that the TTSX design is engineered for.

Is this ammunition suitable for long-range hunting with a .300 Winchester Magnum?

Yes. The boat-tail design and precision factory loading make VOR-TX ammunition a solid choice for hunters using the 300 Win Mag at extended range.

What does the grooved shank on the TTSX bullet do?

The grooves reduce pressure during firing and contribute to improved accuracy, helping deliver the consistency expected from factory-loaded precision ammunition.
