Barnes Bullets
Barnes Defense Sierra JHP ammunition in 9mm Luger delivers the stopping power and reliability you need for self-defense. This 124-grain jacketed hollow-point round combines Sierra's proven bullet design with Barnes' exacting loading standards, giving you consistent performance shot after shot. Whether you're building confidence at the range or carrying rounds that matter, this is ammunition engineered for dependable expansion and predictable terminal performance.
The 124-grain weight strikes a balance prized by 9mm shooters—it's a popular middle-ground that offers reliable feeding across most modern defensive pistols while delivering meaningful velocity and energy. Loaded to 1090 fps, these rounds are chronographed and assembled to tight tolerances, so you're not guessing about consistency between shots or between boxes. That precision is what separates quality defensive ammo from the rest.
Sierra's jaceted lead-core JHP design has a long track record in the defensive ammunition space. The hollow point is engineered to expand reliably across the range of velocities and barriers you might encounter, without relying on extreme velocity to function. Each box contains 20 rounds, enough for a solid practice session or to keep your carry piece topped off.

Barnes loads this round to 1090 fps. The ballistic coefficient is 0.120 (G1). For detailed energy calculations, consult the manufacturer's published ballistics data or use an external ballistics calculator.
Each box contains 20 rounds, giving you enough ammunition for a solid practice session or to rotate through your carry magazine.
This is a defense-purpose load designed with self-defense in mind. The Sierra JHP bullet and Barnes' precision loading make it appropriate for carry applications. For cost-effective range practice, many shooters prefer full-metal-jacket target rounds, though this ammunition can certainly be used at the range as well.
