The Auto-Ordnance 1911 A1 GI Spec .45 ACP is a straightforward, no-nonsense carry and range pistol built on the proven 1911 platform. This model combines classic 1911 ergonomics with modern reliability features in a package that respects the original GI design. Chambered in .45 ACP with a 5-inch barrel, it delivers the stopping power and handling characteristics that made the 1911 the standard for nearly a century. Built entirely in the USA from carbon steel, the slide and frame are finished in matte black for a durable, low-maintenance appearance that works equally well on the nightstand or at the range.

What sets this Auto-Ordnance apart is its focus on essential features without unnecessary complexity. The carbon steel slide, sear, and disconnector are machined from solid bar stock and heat-treated to withstand thousands of rounds without compromise. You get a grip safety, thumb safety, and firing pin block—three layers of drop safety that let you carry or store with confidence. The low-profile sights keep the gun sleek: a blade front sight pairs with a rear sight that's adjustable for windage so you can dial in your zero.

This is MA-compliant and comes with one 7-round magazine, making it an accessible entry point for shooters who want the 1911 platform without premium pricing. Whether you're a first-time 1911 buyer, a working shooter who values simplicity, or someone who appreciates American-made steel and time-tested design, the Auto-Ordnance 1911 A1 GI Spec delivers where it counts.
