The Athlon Talos 6-24X50 rifle scope is a versatile optic built for hunters who need to capitalize on low-light hunting hours. With a 6-24x magnification range and 50mm objective lens housed in a rugged 1-inch tube, this scope handles everything from dense-forest whitetail hunting to wide-open varmint work. The illuminated BDC 600 reticle (second focal plane) and side-focus parallax adjustment make it a practical choice for shooters hunting at varying distances and light conditions.

Athlon packed the Talos with multi-coated optics and argon purging to deliver brightness and clarity when you need it most—those critical dawn and dusk moments when most hunting happens. The scope is fully waterproof, fog-proof, and shockproof, with one-piece aircraft-grade aluminum construction that can handle the field demands of serious hunters. An illuminated reticle adds an extra tool for low-light precision, while the etched glass backup ensures you're never dependent on batteries alone.

The turret setup—0.25 MOA clicks with 60 MOA total elevation and windage travel—gives you enough adjustment range for medium to extended-range hunting without requiring huge dial rotations. Capped turrets keep them clean and protected from accidental bumps. At 23 ounces and with 3-inch-plus eye relief, the Talos balances weight and comfort for a hunting rifle that spends days in the field.

Frequently Asked Questions

What reticle does the Talos 6-24x50 use?

The Talos features a BDC 600 IR (illuminated) reticle etched in glass on the second focal plane. The reticle illuminates for low-light hunting, and the etched backup ensures you can aim even if the illumination fails.

Is this scope suitable for long-range hunting?

The Talos works well for mid-range to extended-range hunting. With 60 MOA of total elevation and windage travel, it handles significant distance adjustments. The side-focus parallax adjustment (10 yards to infinity) helps dial in precision at range. Your effective range will depend on your rifle caliber and ammunition.

What's the eye relief on this scope?

Eye relief ranges from 3.03 to 3.11 inches across the magnification range, which is typical for hunting rifles and allows comfortable mounting on most standard rifle platforms.

What calibers or rifles can I mount this scope on?

The Talos 6-24x50 fits any rifle with a standard Weaver or picatinny rail and rings sized for a 1-inch tube scope. Athlon makes the Talos line in multiple configurations for big-game hunting, varmint shooting, MSRs, and other platforms, so confirm you have the correct model for your intended use.
