The Athlon Ares G2 UHD spotting scope in 15-45X65 straight-angle configuration delivers serious optical performance for hunters, long-range shooters, and field spotters who demand clarity without breaking the bank. This mid-range zoom gives you flexibility in the field—dial down to 15x for glassing wide country or bump up to 45x when you need to pick apart distant details. The straight-angle body keeps your head upright during extended glassing sessions, making it ideal for glassing from vehicles, shooting benches, or stationary positions where neck strain matters over a long hunt.

Athlon packed this scope with the glass and coatings that separate good optics from great ones. Extra-low dispersion glass elements minimize color fringing and boost contrast, so targets stand out sharply even in marginal light. The BaK4 prisms with ESP dielectric coating preserve light transmission and brightness across the entire zoom range. AFMC (advanced fully multi-coatings) amplify light gathering throughout the optical path. Externally, XPL coating protects the lenses from the real-world grime—dirt, oils, fingerprints—that accumulate on gear in hard use.

Weather resistance is built in, not bolted on. The scope is fully waterproof and fog-proof, sealed with argon gas fill to eliminate internal fogging and maintain thermal stability when you're moving between temperature extremes. The tough chassis can handle the bumps and bangs of field use. If you're glassing for trophy mule deer, elk, or long-range targets and want a spotting scope that balances magnification range, optical quality, and ruggedness at a realistic price point, the Ares G2 UHD earns serious consideration.
