Arsenal, Inc.
The Arsenal .223 Remington AK rifle with 16.3" barrel brings authentic Kalashnikov engineering to the American shooter who wants precision, durability, and modern ergonomics in one package. This semi-automatic rifle is built on a milled steel receiver—hammer-forged and heat-treated using Bulgarian factory methods—resulting in a firearm engineered for decades of reliable service. If you're drawn to the AK platform but want a 5.56x45mm (.223 Rem) cartridge, a short-stroke design, and the ability to mount optics and accessories, this Arsenal deserves serious consideration.
The receiver starts as a hammer-forged blank that undergoes over 5.5 hours of precision milling—a labor-intensive process that eliminates internal voids and creates exceptionally fine-grained steel. The 16.3-inch chrome-lined barrel is cold hammer-forged and features 14x1mm left-hand muzzle threads with a removable muzzle brake included. A Fime Enhanced Fire Control Group comes installed, offering the kind of tuned trigger response AK enthusiasts appreciate. The AR-M5F Picatinny rail system runs along three sides of the lower handguard, giving you multiple mounting options for lights, lasers, and other tactical gear—something you won't find on a standard AK.
The rifle ships with an intermediate-length US-made trapdoor buttstock (13.4" length of pull), adjustable sights, a bayonet lug, an AK-pattern scope rail, a 30-round magazine, sling, cleaning rod, oil bottle, and complete cleaning kit. The black polymer furniture is durable and low-maintenance. This is a 922(r)-compliant rifle that functions with both US-made and imported magazines, giving you flexibility in the field or at the range.
