Area 419
The Area 419 CZ455 1913 Improved Scope Rail brings serious accuracy and durability to your rimfire platform. Built from 7075 aluminum and precision-machined in-house, this 15 MOA scope base solves a real problem: traditional dovetail and set-screw bases can shift and migrate over time. The Area 419 design clamps down with consistent force across the entire rail, locking your optic in place for good. Whether you're dialing in a .22 LR for 300+ yard work or running a precision rimfire build, this rail is engineered to stay put.
The construction is substantial—a single-piece design with a recoil lug built into the rear of the base, creating a mechanical stop that prevents forward creep. The base comes Type III black hardcoat anodized and includes a 2.5mm wrench for setting torque (22 in/lbs / 2.5 NM recommended). It's taller than typical set-screw models by about half an inch, but that extra height is intentional: it gives you real estate to mount your optic forward, which matters when you're running higher magnification on a compact rimfire stock. Pair it with lower-profile rings and you'll maintain your cheek weld without needing a riser.
A built-in level is machined into the base itself—the material flares out in the viewing area so you can confirm your bubble without much movement, even in the prone position. This rail fits the CZ 452 as well (except the American model, which uses a different dovetail spec). The rail is solid—no middle opening—so it's a full-width, fully-supported platform for your scope.
| Brand | Area 419 |
| Firearm Compatibility | CZ 455, CZ 452 (except American model) |
| Mount Type | 11mm Dovetail |
| Elevation Cant | 15 MOA |
| Material | 7075 Aluminum |
| Finish | Type III Black Hardcoat Anodize |
| Height Addition | Approximately 0.5 inches above dovetail |
| Recommended Torque | 22 in/lbs (2.5 NM) |
| Included Accessory | 2.5mm Torque Wrench |
Yes, the Area 419 rail is compatible with CZ 452 platforms. The one exception is the CZ 452 American model, which uses a different dovetail size and won't accept this base.
The 15 MOA built-in elevation angle is optimized for shooters taking .22 LR shots at extended distances, typically 300 yards and beyond. It reduces the number of elevation dials needed and keeps you in a more usable scope adjustment range for longer-range rimfire work.
This rail adds approximately half an inch of height above the dovetail. While that's more than traditional set-screw bases, you can compensate by using lower-profile rings and maintaining a solid cheek weld without a riser.
The base ships anodized and ready to install, along with a 2.5mm wrench for torquing the clamp screws to the recommended 22 in/lbs specification.
