APEX TACTICAL SPECIALTIES
If you're running a Ruger Mark IV or Mark IV 22/45 in competition, the Apex Tactical Specialties Competition Action Enhancement Kit transforms your trigger into a competition-grade control. This drop-in trigger upgrade kit replaces the factory trigger and hammer assembly with precision components engineered to deliver the crisp, predictable break that separates good shots from great ones. Competitive shooters and serious .22 LR practitioners demand trigger performance that factory configurations simply don't deliver—and this kit cuts through the compromise.
The heart of the upgrade is a dramatic reduction in trigger pull weight, bringing your Mark IV down to approximately 3.0 lbs from the factory standard. Beyond raw poundage, the kit cuts trigger over-travel by more than 80% and reduces overall trigger travel by 25%, meaning less slop and faster reset between shots. The trigger break itself is noticeably crisper, giving you the tactile feedback competitive shooters need to break accurate shots consistently. A safety plate maintains your pistol's factory safety integrity, so you're not trading reliability for performance.
The kit also includes a steel magazine safety delete, allowing your Mark IV to fire without the magazine inserted—a feature recommended specifically for competition use where you may run the pistol dry during stages. It's a small detail that removes one more variable from your trigger control and gun handling.
Installation is straightforward for anyone with basic gunsmithing familiarity and the right tools; Apex provides what you need to upgrade your Mark IV's action without gunsmith labor. Whether you're chasing bullseyes in rimfire competition or just tired of a mushy factory trigger, this kit delivers measurable, functional improvement.
