Angstadt Arms
The Angstadt Arms Heavy-Duty AR-15 Carbine Buffer Kit delivers the tuning you need to run 9mm Luger and .40 S&W uppers reliably on your pistol-caliber AR-15 build. Built with a 10-ounce buffer weight, this complete kit includes everything required for proper bolt carrier cycling without the need for spacers—plug it in and run. Whether you're building a 9mm PCC for competition, home defense, or range work, getting the weight right matters. This buffer strikes the balance between reliable function and manageable recoil impulse that centerfire pistol-caliber uppers demand.
Compatibility is straightforward: the kit works with both GLOCK and Colt-style magazine well conversions, so your platform choice doesn't limit you. The 10-ounce mass is specifically engineered for the slower-burning powders and lighter recoil forces common to 9mm and .40 S&W ammunition. If you've experienced malfunctions or sluggish bolt lock-back with an undersized buffer, this upgrade addresses the root cause—improper bolt carrier velocity and dwell time.
The kit ships complete with the 10-ounce buffer, carbine-length buffer spring, and nothing is left for you to source separately. Assembly is straightforward, and the blue bumper provides both visual ID and cushioning against the receiver extension. For builders stepping into the pistol-caliber platform or upgrading an existing 9mm or .40 build, this is a proven solution that simplifies the tuning process.
