Allen Company
The Allen Universal Rifle Cleaning Kit is a three-piece rod system built to handle rifles from .22 to .30 caliber, making it a practical choice for hunters and shooters who own multiple guns across the popular caliber spectrum. Whether you're running .223, .270, .308, or anything in between, this kit gives you the core tools needed for field-ready barrel maintenance without the clutter of separate kits. The 32-inch extended length and T-handle design provide the leverage you need for thorough cleaning, and the sectional construction breaks down small enough to stash in a range bag or truck.
Built with bronze brushes matched to your caliber—covering .22, .223 (5.56mm), .260 (6.5mm), .270, .284 (7mm), .30, and .308 (7.62mm)—this kit addresses the rifles most of us actually shoot. The dual swabs for .22 and .30 caliber, paired with slotted tips and 1.5-inch cotton patches, let you work from breech to muzzle without guessing which piece fits where. All threaded components use the industry standard #8-32 threading, so everything seats tight and stays put while you work.
This is maintenance-grade equipment, not a luxury accessory. Allen's approach is straightforward: solid components, broad caliber coverage, and the kind of design that works whether you're cleaning after a hunting season or regular range days. It won't take up much space, and it handles the firearms most of us own.
