The Allen Ultrax 4103 is an adjustable hearing protection solution built for shooters, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts who need flexibility in noisy environments. Unlike fixed-level earplugs, the Ultrax 4103 lets you dial your protection up or down with a simple button push—switching between NRR 12dB and NRR 25dB settings depending on the noise level you're facing. That means comfortable, low-profile hearing defense at the range, in the field, or around the shop without committing to a single protection level.

Comfort is baked into the design. Soft silicone inserts and stabilizing wings keep the plugs seated securely during extended wear, so you're not constantly adjusting them. The compact in-ear format sits discreetly, and the lightweight construction means you'll forget you're wearing them—until you need that adjustable protection to kick in. Whether you're managing impulse noise from gunfire or steady background noise from machinery or power tools, the dual-level approach gives you real adaptability.

The included carry pouch keeps your plugs protected and organized when you're not wearing them, so they're ready to go whenever you hit the range or head out. If you've been frustrated by earplugs that are either too restrictive or not protective enough, the Ultrax 4103's adjustable approach solves that problem in one compact package.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I switch between the two protection levels?

The Ultrax 4103 uses a simple push-button mechanism to toggle between NRR 12dB and NRR 25dB settings. No tools or adjustments needed—just press to change levels.

When would I use the lower 12dB setting versus the higher 25dB setting?

The lower NRR 12dB setting is useful for situations where you want hearing protection without complete sound blocking—like hunting or shooting sports where you still need some environmental awareness. The NRR 25dB setting provides maximum protection for sustained loud noise exposure, such as at a busy shooting range or around loud machinery.

What's included in the package?

Each pair comes with the adjustable earplugs and a protective carry pouch to keep them safe and accessible when you're on the move.

Are these earplugs comfortable for extended shooting sessions?

Yes. The soft silicone inserts and stabilizing wing design are engineered for comfort during extended wear, so they stay secure and comfortable throughout your time at the range or in the field.
