Allen Company
The Allen 8201 Next Shot Carrier is a shotgun shell holder designed to keep three rounds instantly accessible on your buttstock during the hunt. Built with a flexible silicone band that wraps securely around most shotgun stock profiles, this carrier solves a real field problem: having backup shells within arm's reach without fumbling through a vest or pack. Whether you're hunting waterfowl, upland birds, or running a shotgun at the range, having your next shot ready beats the alternative.
The carrier uses elastic cartridge loops oriented horizontally—a smart design that lets you grab and chamber a fresh round quickly when it matters. The loops accommodate 20-gauge, 16-gauge, or 12-gauge shells, so it works across most common shotgun gauges. Installation is straightforward: the soft silicone band stretches over your buttstock without pinching, scratching, or leaving marks. No tools, no permanent attachment, and removal takes seconds if you want to swap stocks or clean your gun.
Allen engineered this specifically to minimize contact wear. That soft silicone isn't just comfortable to handle—it actively protects your buttstock finish from the friction and pressure that hard plastic or metal carriers cause over time. It's a small detail that pays dividends if you rotate between shotguns or rotate stock types. Black and gray colorway keeps it low-key in the field.
