Aguila
If you're running a 20 gauge in trap, skeet, or competition shooting, the Aguila 1CHB2037 20 gauge target load is built to deliver the consistency that wins matches. This competition-grade shotshell pairs a light 7/8 oz payload with 7.5 shot, tuned for the moderate distances and tight patterns that clay target shooting demands. At 1275 fps, you get reliable velocity that translates to predictable break performance without the extra recoil of heavier loads—ideal for shooters who string together dozens of rounds in a single event.
Aguila's shot tower manufacturing process is the backbone of what makes these shells worth running downrange. Every pellet is produced to the same exacting standard, which means box-to-box and round-to-round consistency you can count on when scores matter. With a 2.75" case length, these fit any standard 20 gauge and won't surprise you with unexpected velocity swings or pattern wandering from shell to shell. For serious target shooters who reload and compare loads, or competitors who shoot hundreds of rounds a season, that consistency is worth its weight.
You get 25 rounds per box and 10 boxes per case (250 rounds total), so whether you're stocking up for league nights or building an inventory for tournament season, Aguila makes it easy to buy in volume without chasing inventory.
| Gauge | 20 |
| Shot Size | 7.5 |
| Shot Weight | 7/8 oz (24 grams) |
| Case Length | 2.75" |
| Velocity | 1275 ft/sec |
| Rounds per Box | 25 |
| Boxes per Case | 10 |
| Type | Lead shot, competition target load |
Yes. The 1CHB2037 uses a standard 2.75" case, so they'll chamber and fire in any 20 gauge shotgun designed for that length. If your gun accepts 3" shells, these will work fine—just not the other way around.
Shot size is a matter of discipline and range preference. 7.5 is a proven clay target choice because it offers a large pellet count in a light load, which helps build dense, forgiving patterns at typical trap and skeet distances. Smaller shot means more pellets and softer recoil; larger shot reaches farther but gives up pellet count. For target shooting, 7.5 and 8 are the standard.
Each case contains 10 boxes of 25 rounds, for 250 rounds total per case.
In clay target shooting, variance in velocity, pellet size, or pattern density can shift your breaks and scores. Aguila's shot tower process minimizes that variance, so every shot from the box behaves like the last—critical when you're trying to shoot a clean run or place in a tournament.
