The Aero Precision M4E1-T complete upper receiver in 5.56 NATO gives you a ready-to-run platform built on Aero's refined M4E1 forging and paired with their lightweight ATLAS S-ONE handguard. This is a no-nonsense choice for builders who want quality upper components without the guesswork—it arrives assembled and ready to mate to your lower receiver. Whether you're chasing precision at distance, setting up a lightweight patrol rifle, or simply want a proven upper from a brand known for consistent performance, the M4E1-T delivers the versatility and durability that serious shooters expect.

The new M4E1 upper forging carries Aero's signature attention to detail: a billet-like profile, M4 feedramps, laser-engraved T-marks for reference, and the enhanced picatinny design that plays nicely with their handguard ecosystem. Port door and forward assist come installed. You'll choose your barrel length and gas system at checkout—either a 16-inch mid-length or 18-inch rifle-length tube in 4150 CrMoV with QPQ finish, both tested and crowned for consistency. Both barrels wear a standard A2 flash hider and are set up for reliable feeding.

The ATLAS S-ONE handguard is where Aero's engineering philosophy shines. It's slim, light, and strong—the eliminated center rail saves weight without sacrificing real estate. Front and rear picatinny allows optics and accessories; M-LOK slots run the length; quick-disconnect sling mounts sit at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock; and indexing grooves at 12 o'clock lock in your grip. Comes in 12-inch or 15-inch configurations depending on your barrel choice. Compatible with low-profile gas blocks and standard mil-spec components.

Note: BCG and charging handle sold separately. This is a complete upper receiver only and requires a lower receiver to function as a complete rifle.

Frequently Asked Questions

What barrel length and gas system does this come with?

You choose at purchase: either a 16-inch mid-length barrel with mid-length gas tube, or an 18-inch rifle-length barrel with rifle-length gas tube. Both are 4150 CrMoV with QPQ finish, 1/7 twist rate, and include a standard A2 flash hider.

Is this a complete upper, and what do I still need to build a rifle?

Yes, the M4E1-T is a complete upper receiver. It arrives assembled and ready to attach to a lower receiver. You will still need a BCG (bolt carrier group), charging handle, and a lower receiver to complete the build.

What are the handguard options?

The ATLAS S-ONE handguard comes in either 12-inch or 15-inch M-LOK, and the specific length pairing depends on your barrel choice. Both feature front and rear picatinny rail, quick-disconnect sling mounts at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, and indexing grooves for positive grip control.

Will this upper work with low-profile gas blocks?

Yes. The ATLAS S-ONE handguard and gas port are compatible with low-profile gas blocks.
