Advantage Arms
The Advanced Arms Conversion Kit for Glock 17/22 Gen 5 transforms your duty-caliber pistol into a dedicated .22 LR trainer—perfect for shooters who want to maximize range time without draining their ammunition budget. This MOD-series conversion fits Glock 17 and 22 (Gen 4 and Gen 5), letting you swap uppers on your existing frame and keep your trigger control sharp between centerfire sessions. Whether you're building fundamentals, introducing a new shooter to the platform, or just plinking affordably, a .22 conversion kit stays in your collection as a go-to training tool.
This kit arrives ready to shoot: it includes two 15-round magazines and a 5-inch threaded barrel, so you're not hunting down proprietary parts before your first magazine downrange. The upper is engineered with a recessed cut that accommodates popular red dot sight options—a smart detail if you're running optics on your carry or duty gun. The kit weighs just 6.5 ounces, keeping your handling feel relatively close to your host pistol. Note that the red dot, suppressor, and base Glock frame are sold separately; this kit pairs with any Glock 17/22 you already own.
Thread pattern on the barrel opens the door to sound mitigation if you go that route. The manufacturer highlights the Rugged Oculus and SilencerCo Warlock II Max as compatible suppressors, though your setup will depend on your local laws and sound suppressor availability.
