Acme Baits
The Acme Little Cleo 1/4oz Gold is a classic spoon lure built on proven design principles that have made it a go-to choice for anglers targeting salmon, steelhead, and trout across North America. The Little Cleo's distinctive hump-backed profile creates a seductive, natural wiggling action in the water—the kind of erratic movement that triggers strikes from predatory fish in rivers and lakes. At a quarter ounce, this spoon is light enough for finesse fishing in smaller streams and clear water, yet substantial enough to cast and retrieve effectively across a variety of conditions.
Gold plating gives the Little Cleo excellent visibility in both clear and slightly stained water, reflecting natural light in a way that mimics baitfish and triggers aggression from hungry gamefish. Whether you're working a steelhead run, exploring a trout stream, or sight-casting to salmon in coastal waters, the gold finish performs across the species this spoon is famous for—and the design also draws interest from pike, bass, and walleye when conditions and waters allow.
This is the kind of lure that earns a permanent spot in your tackle box. The Little Cleo has a three-decade track record for a reason: it works. Simple, effective, and reliable, it's an ideal choice for anglers who want a versatile spoon that doesn't require a learning curve or complicated technique—just cast, retrieve, and be ready for what comes.

Yes. The quarter-ounce weight is light enough to work effectively in smaller streams and clear water where finesse and subtle presentations matter, while still being substantial enough for reliable casting and retrieval.
Gold plating performs best in clear to slightly stained water, where it reflects available light and mimics natural baitfish. In very murky or heavily stained water, darker finishes may be more effective.
Simply cast and retrieve. The spoon's hump-backed design creates its characteristic wiggling action naturally, without requiring specialized technique. You can vary your retrieve speed and rhythm to match conditions and trigger strikes.
